Flying In
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the closest airport to the venue, and the most convenient for guests traveling from outside the region.
Getting Around
We recommend a rental car for traveling guests. Rideshare options like Uber and Lyft are also readily available throughout the San Diego area, and are a great option for transportation to the venue. There is free parking at both AleSmith and Birch Aquarium.
San Diego has many hotel and Airbnb options. We're happy to assist guests with personalized recommendations.
If you'd like to stay close to the wedding venue, we recommend booking accommodations in La Jolla or the University City area.
Exploring San Diego
If you're planning to explore San Diego or extend your stay, we'd recommend booking in the following neighborhoods:
Closest to the venue
La Jolla & University City
La Jolla offers walkable bluffs, upscale shopping, ocean activities, and a distinctly Southern California feel. Home to the famous La Jolla Cove sea lions!
Beach towns
Del Mar, Coronado, & Mission Beach
These seaside communities are always a hit with visitors. Great options for those who are extending their stay and want easy ocean access.
Downtown & easy airport access
Little Italy
A vibrant downtown neighborhood with some of the city's best restaurants and a fabulous Saturday farmer's market. Conveniently located near San Diego Bay and the airport.
Budget-friendly & centrally located
Mission Valley
Further inland, Mission Valley is centrally located and offers hotel accommodations for all budgets. We know San Diego can be expensive and have coordinated a block rate at the Crowne Plaza hotel, accessible here.
Uptown & LGBTQ+
Hillcrest & North Park
The heart of the LGBTQ+ community, Hillcrest and North Park are two of the city's trendiest and most walkable neighborhoods with plentiful bars, restaurants, and easy access to iconic Balboa Park. Dan and Clay's favorite area for weekend evenings out!
